Valhalla, NY - The women's basketball team traveled to Westchester County on Tuesday night to take on the Vikings. This game was a rematch of the first semester battle that saw the Lions come up just short as they fell 61-60, but they got their revenge on Tuesday. After trailing by as many as seven points in the second half the Lions' stepped up their defensive pressure and came away with a much needed victory. The Lions were paced by the defensive effort of Rocío Martín Muñoz who was second on the team in scoring with 16 points. Kerine Thomas once again led the way for the Lions offensively as she finished with a team high 18 points. Tiana Presley gathered up another double double as she finished the night with 10 points and 13 boards.
The Lions will look to knock off another Region XV opponent on Thursday night as they host the Generals from Sullivan County. The Lions fell to the Generals in their second game of the season.
