Delaney Named All-American

Charlotte, NC - Raritan Valley Sophomore Kelly Delaney was named NJCAA DIII Honorable Mention All-American. Delaney helped lead the Lions to back to back Garden State Athletic Conference Championships and a 27-4 regular season record. Last year the team fell in the District Championship, but this year they captured the Region XIX title and East District B Championships with Delaney's leadership. Delaney was an offensive force for the Lions all season long. She led the team with 340 kills and was second on the team with 376 digs. Perhaps her biggest strength this season was her ability to serve at opposing defenses. Her 143 Service Aces were #1 in the entire NJCAA DIII Volleyball rankings.

"Kelly is the epitome of what coach's look for in a player. She's smart, hard working, dedicated, responsible in the classroom, a great competitor, and a wonderful teammate" Head Coach Phil Herro continued about Delaney. "Kelly was a lead by example type of player to start the season, but became more vocal when we needed it the most. We're all just extremely proud of her, this award couldn't go to a more deserving kid."

Delaney and her teammates (class of '24) will go down as the all time winningest team in program history, compiling 57 wins in just two seasons. Congratulations Kelly!
