North Branch, NJ—The RVCC women's volleyball team fell to Ocean County College with a tough first loss of the season in five sets by scores of 25-21, 25-17, 22-25, 18-25, and 7-15.
The Lions got off to a great start winning the first two sets, however, lost the following three. Leading the way for the Lions was freshman outside hitter Chandra Ramlogan with 14 kills and sophomore middle hitter Mekayla Dela Cruz with 11 kills. Sophomore setter Ashley Hunt ran the offense with 21 assists, and sophomore libero Hannah Eisenstein was strong on the defensive end as she concluded with 28 digs.
Next up for RVCC is an away game against Union County College on Saturday, September 23rd at 12pm.
