RVCC Defeats Brookdale in Three to Improve to 9-0

Red Bank, NJ--The RVCC women's volleyball defeated Brookdale Community College Saturday in their second game of the tri match. The Lions took the victory in three sets. They got off to a hot start in the first set and did not look back, as they were victorious with set scores of 25-10, 25,15, 25-11.

Leading the way for the Lions on offense was sophomore middle hitter Mekayla Dela Cruz with eight kills. Freshman outside hitter Chandra Ramlogan added five kills, and sophomore opposite hitter Brooke Scheier with four kills. Ramlogan also contributed on the defensive end, as she had a team high 12 digs. Sophomore setter Ashley Hunt finished with 17 assists.

With the win the Lions improved their record to an impressive 9-0 on the season. Next up for RVCC is a home game against Ocean County College on Tuesday, September 19th at 7pm.
