Lions Edged by Union

Cranford, NJ-- On Saturday October 1st, the RVCC women's volleyball team was defeated by Union County College in four sets. Each set was very tight, as the first was taken by Union 25-23, the second by the Lions 28-26, the and the last two by Union 25-20 and 25-23 respectivley.

For RVCC, freshman oppostie hitter Brooke Scheier had played an efficient game as she tallied 15 kills on 28 attempts. She also added seven service aces and helped out on defense with eight digs. Sophomore middle Gabrielle Saydee added seven kills, and freshman outside hitter Taylor Moskal tallied six. Running the offense was freshman setter Jelitza Rodriguez who finished with a season high of 24 assists.

Next up for RVCC is an away game Tuesday October 4th at Rowan  College at Gloucester County beginning at 6:00pm.
