Lions Topped by Middlesex in Five

Edison, NJ-- The RVCC women's volleyball team lost in five sets to Middlesex County College on Tuesday. The Colts took set one 25-19, however the Lions were able to battle back and take the next two sets, 25-22 and 25-19 respectivley. The fourth set was taken by Middlesex 25-19, and they outlasted RVCC in a competitive final set 16-14.

Leading the offense for the Lions freshman outside hitter Talyor Moskal with eight kills on 24 attempts, and freshman opposite hitter Brooke Scheier added seven kills. Sophomore middle Gabrielle Saydee played big in the front, as she had five kills and six blocks. Also playing solid defense at the net was freshman outside hitter Jenna Collier as she tallied six blocks. Freshman libero Hannah Eisenstein put forth another terrific defensive effort as she racked up 34 digs. 

After the loss the Lions drop to 2-7 on the season, and their next game is on Saturday, October 1st when they travel to Union County College for a 12pm start.
