Volleyball Falls to Middlesex in Home Opener

North Branch, NJ-- The RVCC women's volleyball team dropped it's home opener against Middlesex Thursday in a hard fought match. Middlesex took set one 25-19, set two 25-17 and set three 25-18. This marked the first home match for the RVCC volleyball program. 

Freshman libero Hannah Eisenstien played great defense as she racked up 21 digs. Freshman setter Jelitza Rodriguez distributed the ball well and ran the offense effectivley, as she tallied 11 assists. The presence around the net was from sophomore middle Gabrielle Saydee. Saydee had six kills on 11 attempts, and had two blocks on the night. Freshman opposite hitter Brooke Scheier played well offense as well, as she five kills as well as four service aces. 

Next up for the Lions is another home game on Saturday, September 10th against Brookdale Community College.
