Edison, NJ - The RVCC Volleyball team took the short trip down Route 287 to take on GSAC foe Middlesex College on Wednesday night. The Lions came out of the gate strong, only allowing Middlesex to score 8 total points in the first set. The dominance continued into the second and third sets as the Lions were able to establish double digit leads in both frames. Freshman Alanna Da Cunha led the offensive attack with a season high 10 kills. The only other Lions to reach double digits in any statistical were Bri Rojas with 17 digs and Izabela Bar with 25 assists. Ariele Acevedo registered 1 assist while stepping in as a setter and Monica Cabanas finished with 1 dig on the night as a DS for the Lions. 

The Lions are currently 23-4 on the season with only two GSAC/Region XIX games left on the year. RV will host the Panthers from Passaic on Thursday at 6 PM before traveling to Brookdale on Saturday at noon.
