Lions Finish Week 3-0 After Sweep of Titans

North Branch, NJ - RVCC's women's volleyball team finished the week a perfect 3-0 after sweeping the Titans of County College of Morris on Saturday afternoon. Earlier in the week the team beat Ocean County College and Borough of Manhattan Community College both on their opponent's home floor. Saturday was the first home game for the Lions in over 10 days.

Sophomore middle Olivia Sims had yet another dominant performance, but this time on the defensive end. Her nine kills were a time high, but she was a force on defense with 7 blocks and 2 block assists. Freshman Alanna Da Cunha was big on the defensive end registering 2 blocks of her own, while Brittany Jensen had 2 block assists as well. Jensen was second on the team with 6 kills while Da Cunha and fellow freshman Kelly Delaney each chipped in with 5. Delaney also led the defense with 14 digs while Bri Rojas secured 12 and Rachel Hatto had 8.

The Lions currently sit at 10-4 overall and are on a four game winning streak. The team returns to action at home on Monday night at 6 PM when they host the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College.
