North branch, NJ-- The RVCC women's volleyball team defeated Rowan College at Gloucester County on Tuesday night in three sets. The Lions won by set scores of 25-8, 25-9, and 25-12.
Sophomore outside hitter Mekayla Dela Cruz led the way for RVCC as she finished with nine kills and six aces, and sophomore setter Ashley Hunt played strong on offense with a total of 15 assists.
With the victory the Lions continue their eight game winning streak and are currently 17-1 on the season. They are also 15-1 in Region XIX play, and 13-1 in Garden State Athletic Conference play.
Next up is the Lions last game of the regular season home against Lehigh Carbon Community College on Wednesday, October 11th beginning at 7pm.
