Paramus, NJ - The RVCC Women's basketball team travelled to Bergen Community College on Thursday night and beat the host Bulldogs, 87-65. The Lions got off to a very slow start and only led 35-30 at halftime thanks to a buzzer beating bucket by freshman Emily Norgard. In the third quarter the Lions came out ready to go and they were paced by Tiana Presley who had a team high 22 points on the night. All 7 Lions to enter the game scored a bucket as Kerine Thomas finished with 15, Makhia Robinson and Alexia Mia Martí each had 14, Antonia Polvere had 11, Le'Ana Brown had 9, and Norgard finished with 2. Robinson, a freshman from Somerville, earned her first double double of the year as she also had a team high 14 rebounds.
The Lions will host County College of Morris on Thursday night in their first Region XIX and GSAC contest of the season at 5 PM. The team is currently 2-2 on the year.
