Cross County Takes 1st Place at Regionals!

White Clay State Park, DE--The RVCC cross country team continues to stay on top! Coming off the first place win at Brookdales invitational, RVCC takes first place at the 2017 Region XIX Championship!

At Regionals the men finished with an average time of 2:29:47.46. Sophomore Robert Spies led the way for the Lions as he finished with a time of 28:17.24. He was good for second place out of 87 runners. Sophomore Jake Thoden finished in 7th place with a time of 29:13.38, freshman Frankie Arevalo took 12th place with a time of 29:57.54,  sophomore Collin Diedhiou placed 17th with a time of 30:35.54, and freshman Luis Monterroso finished 28th with a time of 31:43.76. On the women's side, freshman Tessa Senel finished in 8th place with a time of 23:03.72. 

Next up is Nationals November 4th at Westfield, MA.
