North Branch, NJ -- The Golden Lions competed this past weekend in the Region XIX Championship Meet. Jessica Rutledge, a freshman, ran the 5K race in 21:04, placing 4th overall and earning the All-Region title. Allison Spencer, freshman, finished in 9th in a time of 22:25. Jessica Alvarez finished in 23:19, and Aishwarya Gondhi finished in 32:33.
On the men's side, Ian Burdi, a sophomore, finished the 8K race with a time of 33:28. Bryan Llumiquinga and Carlos Benitez crossed the finish line in 34:21 and 34:54 respectively.
Overall, it was a great inaugural season for the Golden Lions Cross Country team!
