North Branch, NJ - The RVCC Volleyball team swept Union County College on Saturday 10/26 in the First Round of the Region XIX Playoffs. The Lions have advanced to the District Championship for the second straight year where they will take on RCSJ-Gloucester. The Lions beat the Owls 25-8, 25-12, and 25-15.
RVCC jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as the Owls couldn't get anything going against a charged up Lions squad. All 13 members of the team saw game time action and helped the Lions earn a chance at winning a district title. The Lions are now 18-5 on the year, have won their third Garden State Athletic Conference Championship in a row, and are looking to win their first District Title.
RVCC takes on RCSJ-Gloucester this Saturday 11/2 at 2:00 P.M. at Bucks County College. The Lions and Roadrunners have faced off twice this year with each team winning one contest.
