Lions End Regular Season With Back to Back Wins

Randolph, NJ - The RVCC Volleyball team won their second game in two nights as the Lions defeated County College of Morris in straight sets. This was the second Division II opponent the Lions beat in two days, as they took down Lackawanna College the night before, 3-1.

The first set of the night saw the Lions trade a lot of early points back and forth. Eventually they were able to pull away and win 25-15.

The Lions were down 18-15 in the second set before being able to tie the score up at 20-20. As has happened many times before, Sophomore RS Stephanie Seymour, earned 5 service points in a row to give the Lions a 25-20 set win.

The ending of the third set was eerily similar to the second. Seymour got to the service line with the score tied 20-20 and once again helped the Lions finish off the Titans by a final score of 25-20. The final point of the game was Seymour's second ace of the night.

Chandra Ramlogan and Danielle Burnejko led the team offensively with 8 and 6 kills respectively. Freshman Libero Andrea Chavez had a team high 13 digs and Freshman Setter Tess Rogovin had 18 assists on the night.

The Lions finished the regular season with an overall record of 19-3 and entire the Region XIX tournament as the #3 seed. The Lions will host Bucks County College in the first round of the tournament this Saturday, October 20th at 1 PM. The Lions previously defeated the Centurions of Bucks County 3-2.
