Women's Soccer Scores First Win of the Season Against Bucks County

The Golden Lions of Raritan Valley Community College defeated the Centurions of Bucks County College on their own field Tuesday in an exciting overtime match.  RVCC took the lead early in the first half with a goal scored by # 15 Keisha Brotherson.  The Lady Lions came out strong in the second half taking at 2-0 lead with another goal scored, this time by # 11 Faith Sansilo.  However, with 10 girls on the squad fatigue set in for the Lady Lions enabling Bucks to tie the game, first with a goal scored over the Lions failing to clear a corner kick, followed up by a quick second goal over a disorganized defense.  The game remained tied, 2-2 at the end of regulation play.  Heading in to overtime RVCC did not give as Kaisha Brotherson dribbled through the midfield and blasted the winning shot from outside the 18 yard box.

The next game for the Lady Lions is Thursday 9/22/11 at 4PM when the Lady Lions travel to Cumberland County College.
