Women's Basketball Win Over RCBC

North Branch, NJ – On Saturday, January 27th the RVCC Women's Basketball Team defeated Rowan College at Burlington County by a final score of 72-60. The Lions came out of the gates on fire and jumped out to an early 10-0 lead. Sophomore guard Megan Mack led the way as she connected on all four of her attempts from downtown in the first half of the game. The Lions frenetic pace and heavy scoring was too much for RCBC to handle as they were only able to put up 17 first half points compared to the 42 from the Lions.

Olivia Nilsen once again led the way for RVCC as she finished with 24 points and 5 boards connecting on all eight of her free throw attempts. Ashley Hunt has been filling up the stat sheet all season and she continued to do so on Saturday with 21 points, 6 boards, and 7 dimes. The other Lion in double figures was Megan Mack who had all 14 of her points in the first half. Moira Phillips continued to be a factor on the boards as she finished with 9 rebounds and 2 points. The Lions host County College of Morris this Tuesday for a 5:30 P.M. tip off.
