North Branch, NJ - On Tuesday, November 28th the RVCC Women's Basketball team suffered their first loss of the season to a tough Union County College by a final score of 64-42. With a slow tempo in the first half the lions were down just 13-31 at the half. The Lions were able to cut the Owls lead to 14 with a minute to go in the third quarter, but couldn't close the gap.
Three Lions scored in double figures and leading the way was freshman guard Olivia Nilsen with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Adrienne Amey and Ashley Hunt both had 10 points each.
The Lions are now 5-1 on the season and look to improve to 6-1 this Saturday, December 2nd at 12 P.M. in a home matchup against Valley Forge Military College.
