Women's Basketball Tops Bucks!

Newton, PA - On Saturday, November 18th the RVCC Women's Basketball team defeated Bucks County Community College by a final score of 95-23 to improve to 4-0 on the season.  The Lions got off to an early lead closing the first quarter up 25-4. Going into the half the Lions held a substantial 38-10 lead and maintained control the rest of the game. 

 Freshman guard Rachel Knappenberger led five Lions in double figures with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Fellow Freshmen Olivia Nilsen and Adrienne Amey added 13 and 12 respectively. Rounding out the Lions in double figures were Summer Sheppard with 13 and Armani Mayers with 11. More impressive than their scoring was their hounding of the Centurion guards all day long as Sheppard finished with 6 steals and Mayers with 7. 

Freshman Forward Nyah Morales controlled the glass yet again for the Lions as she finished with a team high 14 rebounds. Claudia Edralin was the second Lion with double digit boards as she finished with 12 to compliment her 4 big blocks.
The Lions begin Region XIX play this Tuesday, November 21st at 5 P.M. at Mercer County Community College.
