Newark, DE-- On Tuesday, February 14th the RVCC women's basketball team picked up a Region XIX victory when they defeated Delaware Technical Community College by a final score of 55-48. The Lions had a slim 33-28 lead going into the halftime, and found themselves going into the fourth quarter notched up at 43-43, however were able to pull out the victory by way of a 13-7 stretch at the end of the game. 

Leading the scoring was freshman guard Megan Mack with 20 points. Freshman forward Ashley Hunt had a solid all-around game with 11 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, and freshman forward Neith Wideman posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. 

With the win the Lions improve to 8-12, and next up is a home game against Essex County College on Thursday, February 16th at 5pm.
