Union Tops RVCC

North Branch, NJ-- The RVCC women's basketball team was defeated by Union County College Tuesday night by a final score of 79-51. The Lions led after the first quarter 16-13, and 29-27 at halftime against a tough Union team, however the second half was controlled by Union as they stretched the lead to hold onto the victory.

Leading the way for the Lions was freshman forward Ashley Hunt with 29 points. Hunt started off hot as she scored 20 points in the first half and was zoned in from three point-range as she went 4-5. She also added eight rebounds and four assists for the game. Freshman guard Megan Mack chipped in 15 points and seven rebounds, and freshman forward Neith Wideman finished with eight rebounds. 

Next up for the Lions is an away game at County College of Morris on Thursday, February 2nd at 5pm.
