North Branch, NJ-- The RVCC women's basketball team was defeated by Valley Forge Military College Saturday by a final score of 62-45. The first half was an even battle, as RVCC had a 10-9 lead at the end of the first quarter, and Valley Forge took a slim 27-24 halftime lead. Valley Forge was then able to control the second half, and then stretch the lead to 24 in the fourth quarter. 

Leading the way for the Lions was freshman forward Ashley Hunt with 26 points. Hunt attacked the basket often and got to the line 12 times and made 10 of those free throws. Freshman forward Neith Wideman had a team high six rebounds and added three steals. 

With the loss the Lions drop to 5-9, and next up is a home game against Union County College on Tuesday, January 31st at 6pm.
