North Branch, NJ-- The RVCC women's basketball team defeated Rowan College at Burlington County Tuesday night by a final score of 68-52. The Lions took a 16-6 lead at the end of the first quarter, and held a 34-26 lead going into the locker room, and extended the lead in the third and the fourth quarter.

Leading the team in scoring was freshman forward Ashley Hunt with 25 points. Hunt was a threat from the three point line as she went 4-7 from behind the arc. She also added eight assists and five rebounds. Freshman guard Megan Mack added 24 points and seven assists. Sophomore guard Lauren Ferretti posted a double double, as she scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, and sophomore forward Courtney Price grabbed 12 rebounds.

With the win the Lions improve to 3-5, and next up is a road game against Union County College Thursday, December 15th at 5pm.
