Maura Yavornitzki got the inning started with a 2 out double, and Olivia Sims followed that up with a 2 run home run! Brookdale answered back with a run in the top of the 4th but the Lions were not to be tampered with, playing a flawless defense behind pitcher Jillian Sims. The defense committed no errors, and Sims struck out 8, walking just one in 7 innings of work. Brookdale made a last minute comeback in the top of the 6th, scoring one run to tie the game at two, but the Lions answered right back!
