North Branch, NJ - After hitting the woodwork in the opening minute and missing a gilded opportunity moments later, the Lions were punished for not finishing their opportunities when Camden opened the scoring with their first shot of the game. Despite more good play from RVCC they were wasteful with their opportunities and allowed Camden to finish their only two further shots of the half.
Going into the second half down 3-0 the Lions found their pride and battled back to an impressive performance outshooting and outscoring their lofty opponents 1-0. Ending the game 3-1, ruing the missed opportunities to beat a nationally ranked team, but proud of an impressive overall performance against difficult opposition. With a team of all but four freshman players, team spirit soaring, the future looks bright for RV Mens Soccer.
