Men's Soccer Fall Short in Home Opener

North Branch, NJ—The Men's soccer team had their home opener on Tuesday, September 11th where they fell 5-0 to Union.

The Lions unfortunately got off to a slow start while Union got on the board 13 minutes into the game, and 3 more times in the first half leaving RVCC scoreless. The Lions had a stronger second half only allowing 1 goal but were unable to find a rhythm and get on the board.

Offensively the lions had 7 shots on goal and 5 of them were from freshman midfielder Antonio Vicente-Bailon. Defensively sophmore goalkeeper Daniel Hinson had seven saves while sophomore goalkeeper Matthew Pozo had six saves, one being a beautiful penalty kick block.

Next up for RVCC is a away game against Harcum College Thursday, September 13th @3:00.
