Okye's hat trick leads the win!

North Branch, NJ--Chukwuemeka Okoye's hat trick was more than enough as the RVCC Lions win 6-0 over Cumberland County College on Saturday October 7th

Starting off strong the Lions scored a goal at the one and a half minute mark by Sophomore wing Chukwuemeka Okoye and assisted by freshman forward Salman Ghiya. In the first half the Lions scored two more times, the first was by sophmore wing Danny Santana assisted by Ghiya and the second goal was by Okye. Going into the half the score was 3-0. Coming back from the half the Lions continued the momentum scoring three more times, the first was freshman forward Christian Barrera-Lopez, the second was freshman midfielder Dennis Espinal assisted by Ghiya for his third assist of the day, and the final goal by Okye.

The Lions played very aggressive on offense having 21 shots and 12 on goal, and sophomore goalkeeper Bruna Riga had two saves.

With the win the Lions are 4-4-2 on the 2017 season, and next up is an away game on Tuesday, October 10th against Middlesex County College at 3:30pm.
