Men's Soccer Defeats Passaic

North Branch, NJ-- The RVCC men's soccer team ended their season on a high note on Thursday with a 3-1 victory against Passaic County Community College. The first half finished with no score, however the Lions came alive in the second.

Scoring first was freshman striker Alex Meny. He controlled a loose ball and punched it in from 18 yards out to give the Lions the lead. Five minutes later, sophomore back Romeo Lopez took a nice set up from freshman midfielder Thomas Mulvihill and chipped it over the Passaic keeper to extend the lead to 2-0. Passaic battled back to make it 2-1, yet the Lions were able to close out the game after Okoye found the back of the net with an assist from freshman midfielder Brian Johnson.

Freshman goalie Bruno Riga made his first start, and came up big for the Lions with six saves.
