Lions Drop One Against Camden

North Branch, NJ-- The RVCC men's soccer team lost to a talented Camden County College team this past Saturday by a final score of 5-0. Camden, now 7-0-1 on the year controlled the game and made it difficult for RVCC to generate any offense. Camden scored on two penalty kicks in the first half, and were able to find the back of the net three times in the second half.

A bright spot for the Lions was the outstanding play of freshman goalie Alex Meny. Meny had 14 saves on the day, and stayed on his toes against the relentless Camden offensive attack. Meny, a Phillipsburg, NJ native has played phenomenal in goal for the Lions in each game this year, as he has totalled 46 saves through the first five games.

Next up for RVCC is an away game at Sussex County Community College on Tuesday, September 20th beginning at 3:30pm.
