Union, NJ-- Freshman Mike Haliscak put two great rounds of golf together at Galloping Hill in Union, N.J. on Monday May 7 and Tuesday May 8. Haliscak carded a score of 75 on Monday and 80 on Tuesday placing him 4th overall in Region 19 competition. With the 4th place finish Mike earned First Team All Region 19 and also qualified for the National Tournament in Chautauqua, NY next month.

Head Coach Jan Cocozziello took time to reflect on this season and stated "Mike has tremendous grit and determination and it's a testament to his ability as a golfer. No matter what the outcome may be he earned the right to compete at nationals and myself and Kevin have the upmost confidence in him.

The season had its up's and down's and tested each player's commitment due to competing as individuals and not as a team, however we showed up to every practice and tournament willing and ready to put in the work. My assistant coach Kevin Ryan helped out tremendously and cannot wait to get to Nationals."
