Lions Fall to Ulster in OT

Branchburg, NJ – RVCC Men's Basketball team fell to SUNY Ulster on Saturday by a final score of 105-104.

The Lions had a tough game vs Ulster where they ultimately fell one point short in OT. At the half the Lions were up 49-48, and the second half was a back and forth matchup. With 4 seconds left on the clock the Lions were down 96-94 and freshman Tyshon Hanberry scored the basket to take the Lions into OT. In overtime Hanberry scored 4 of the Lions 8 points with a total of 16 on the night.

Freshman Justin Davis led the Lions with 31 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. Davis has been a major benefactor for the Lions thus far averaging 28 points per game. Freshman guard Christion Dejean earned himself a double double with 11 assist 12 points and off the bench freshman Samir Dieujuste had 12 points and a team high 8 rebounds.

The Lions return to Region XIX action this Tuesday at 7 PM as they host Lackawanna College.
