Men's Basketball Fall to Morris

Tuesday, January 30th 2018, North Branch, NJ – The RVCC Men's Basketball Team suffered a loss falling to the County College of Morris by a final score of 76-71. The Lions got off to a hot start and were up 43-28 at the half. However, Morris was able to come back and take the lead for the first time the entire game 67-66 with 5 minutes left on the clock and it was a back and forth rest of the game from there. The Lions had one last chance to tie the game with 49 seconds left down two but were unable to pull off the win.

Four Lions scored in double figures on Tuesday night. Leading the way was Freshman guard Rick'keem Mixson with 14 points 4 assist. Rick has been a constant competitor for the Lions all season averaging a team high of 16 points per game. Kayton Darley, Mckay LeDuke and Isaiah Laurent were the other three to finish in double figures. Kayton with 13 points 5 assist, Mckay with 12 points 3 blocks, and Isaiah with 11 points 8 rebounds.

The Lions will look to bounce back on Thursday night when they take on Montgomery County Community College away @ 7:00PM.
