North Branch, NJ- On Thursday, December 14th the RVCC Men's Basketball team defeated Essex County College by a final score of 111-50. At the half the Lions were up 55-25 and were able to remain in the lead the entire rest of the way. The Lions had a very selfless game totaling 34 assist as a team!
Six Lions scored in double digits and leading the way were freshman guards Rick'keem Mixson and Najuan Jenkins with 21 points each. Sophomore guard Isaac Neal had 19 points 9 assist, sophomore forward Mckay LeDuke tallied 13 points 8 rebounds, freshman forward Isaiah Laurent with 12 points 11 boards, and Kenyan Goodson with 10 points 4 assist.
With the win the Men's improve to 7-3 on the season, next up is the Lions last home game before the break vs Orange County Community College Saturday, December 16th @1PM!
