RVCC Loses Close One to Harcum

North Branch, NJ – Tuesday, December 12th the RVCC Men's basketball team took on Harcum College, a D1 team ranked 24th in the NJCAA D1 basketball poll. Both teams came out shooting hot, to end  the half it was a close 41-45 game. The Lions trailed Harcum the entire game but were right behind them the whole way. Sophomore Mckay LeDuke tied the score 75-75 with 4 minutes left on the clock and from there on out it was a back and forth game. The Lions were down 80-83 and Leduke shot a deep three to tie the score back up with .3 seconds remaining on the clock to take the Lions into overtime. The Lions came up two points short in overtime ending the game with a final score of 95-93.

Leading the way for the Lions was sophomore guard Isaac Neal with 19 points 10 rebounds, freshman guard Rick'keem Mixson also had a huge game finishing with 19 points. Freshman guard Kayton Darley has been a consistent benefactor this whole season finishing with 18 points, sophomore guard Kenyan Goodson stepped up tremendously with 17 points 10 assist and 3 steals, and Mckay LeDuke with 14 points!

The Lions are now 6-3 on the season. Next up is a home game vs. Essex County College on Thursday, December 14th @ 7:00 PM.
