North Branch, NJ-- The RVCC men's basketball team suffered it's first loss of the season Friday to Community College of Rhode Island 83-69. The game was the second one out of four of the RVCC Fall Classic. CCRI took a 34-26 advantage at halftime, and pushed the lead in the second half to win by a 14 point margin.
Leading the scoring for the Lions was freshman guard Kenyan Goodson with 23 points. Goodson was a big factor coming off of the bench and hit five of eight three pointers. Freshman forward Ronald Washington had a double double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, and sophomore forward Jayce Beasley grabbed nine rebounds.
The Lions outrebounded CCRI 45-34, and with the loss fell to 3-1.
