Newark-- In an exciting 40 minutes of basketball, the RVCC men's team dropped a close game against a tough Essex County College squad by a final score of 74-70. With the loss, the Golden Lions fall to 14-8 overall on the season.

Leading the way for RVCC was freshman guard Logan Santiago with 22 points and seven assists. Sophomore guard James Richardson had 15 points and eight rebounds, and freshman guard Zaire Robinson chipped in 12. Freshman forward Jawan Robinson grabbed nine rebounds. 

The Golden Lions distributed the ball efficiently, as they tallied 16 assits on 27 field goals.

Next up for RVCC is a home game Thurdsay the 11th against Globe Institue of Technology at 7 pm.
