Union, NJ-- The Raritan Valley men's basketball team defeated Union County College Thursday by a final score of 81-69. With the victory the Golden Lions improve to 11-6 overall on the season. The Golden Lions jumped out to a 50-32 lead at halftime, and held on in the second.

Leading the way was sophomore guard James Richardson with 28 points and and six assists. Richardson was efficient from the field, going 10-15 for the game. Sophomore forward Bridson Rivera added 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two blocks. Freshman forward Jawan Robinson grabbed eight rebounds.

The Golden Lions distributed the ball well, gaining 16 assists on 28 field goals.

Next up is an away game against Rowan College at Burlington County Saturday the 23rd at 1 pm.
