North Branch--The RVCC men's basketball team lost to Essex County College Tuesday by a final score of 72-61. With the defeat the Golden Lions fall to 8-5.

Leading the scoring for the Golden Lions were sophomore forward Bridson Rivera and sophomore guard James Richardson with 15 points each. Freshman guard Logan Santiago threw in 14 points, and freshman forward Jawan Robinson grabbed nine rebounds.

Sophomore guard Deandre Thomas led scoring for Essex with 24 points, and freshman forward Elijah Bush threw in 12. 

Next up for RVCC is a home game this Thursday the 17th against Delaware Technical Community College at 7 pm to wrap up the semester.
