The RVCC men's basketball team dropped their season opener to Bergen Community College in an extremley close game 88-82. The game was back and forth, as the score was tied 34-34 at halftime.

Sophomore guard James Richardson led the Golden Lions in scoring with 24 points, and added six rebounds and four assists. Freshman guard Logan Santiago added 13 points, and was efficent at the free throw line converitng all eight of his attempts. Freshman forward Zaire Robinson led the Golden Lions in rebounding with seven.

For Bergen Community College, sophomore guard Doug Palmadessa had a monster game, scoring 30 points. Freshman guard Louis Pena also played well, as he scored 20.

Next up for the Golden Lions is a contest at Middlesex County College on Tuesday, November 10th at 7 pm.
