Baseball Beats Morris Behind Huge 7th Inning

On Sunday April 3rd, the RVCC Baseball team split a doubleheader against County College of Morris. In a close contest, game one was taken by Morris by a final score of 3-2. Game two was won by the Golden Lions by a final score of 10-6. Morris had a 6-1 lead heading into the top of the seventh, however the RVCC bats came alive. After the second batter was retired, 11 straight men reached base, and nine straight scored. Sophomore third baseman Kyle Dotey was a key contributor, going 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Freshman outfielders Kyle Tamburri and Nick Cuba each collected two hits, as well as freshman shortstop Sean Mead. Pitching a solid complete game for the Golden Lions and earning the victory was Freshman Tom Sharfetz. Next up is an away doubleheader Wednesday the 6th against Camden County College starting at 2 p.m.
