The RVCC baseball team won both games of the doubleheader Saturday against Borough of Manhattan Community College. The Golden Lions took game one by a final score of 12-5. Six runs were scored in the bottom of the second inning, and in the bottom of the fourth sophomore shortstop CJ Lyons hit a three run home run to extend the lead to 10-3. Lyons went 1-3 on the game with 3 rbis. Sophomore center fielder Eric Drzewicki went 3-4 on the game, and freshman outfielder Kyle Tamburri added 3 hits. Sophomore pitcher Jendry Sejas pitched all 7 innings allowing only 3 runs and striking out 7. Game 2 was won by RVCC by a final score of 11-0. Drzewicki had a three run double in the bottom of the second. Sophomore catcher Mike Dolan had two doubles, and freshman Tom Shurfetz pitched a complete game shutout and only allowed three hits. Next up is a home doubleheader Sunday the 13th against Rockland County College at 12pm.
