Raritan Valley

Joe Pavlow was hired as the new Director of Athletics at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg in September 2021.

Prior to his arrival at RVCC, Pavlow worked as the Director of Athletics at Rosemont College. Under his direction the department captured its first-ever CSAC Championships, in all totaling five championships across three different programs. Pavlow was actively engaged in committee membership on campus, in the conference, and on the national level.

Pavlow previously served as the Associate Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach at Penn State-Abington. In his role, he was responsible for all internal day-to-day operations. His coaching tenure at Penn State-Abington began in 2008 when he was named Head Baseball Coach at the school. In Pavlow’s last seven years as Head Coach, the team won five North Eastern Athletic Conference baseball regular season titles. He holds the Penn State-Abington record for wins with 181. Pavlow was named conference Coach of the Year in 2009, 2016, and 2017.

Pavlow’s previous positions include serving as Assistant Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Rutgers University in Camden. He also taught math and social studies at Paul VI High School in Haddonfield. Pavlow received a BA in Economics from Rutgers University and an MS in Sports Science, Sports Administration from Lock Haven University.

Pavlow currently lives in Holland, PA with his wife Kim, and his children Luke (19), Chase (14) and Brooke (11).
